Thanks for your question about the new Lotus cars. I was able to look at this comparison at Edmunds and thought I’d share it with you: www.edmunds.com. I spoke to one of my colleagues who keeps up with modern European sports cars, and his personal opinion was that the Exige was more desirable due to lower production numbers and higher performance. But these factors, ironically, don’t always relate to future collectability. My suggestion is to buy the car that you like and desire, if you can afford it, and enjoy it. Then, accept that the car may be collectible as “frosting on the cake” at a later date. You probably won’t go far wrong with any semi-exotic European two seater.
